Havens are designed to sleep, slightly more on the firmer side: still contouring and responsive to your shape, but with overall support to help improve your spine health. Some customers experience a little discomfort at first, but this is completely normal when adjusting to a chiropractic surface. Talalay latex begins as the sap of the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis). Through the Talalay process, it turns into material with incredible benefits. It’s plant-based, bouncy, pressure-reducing, body-responsive and contouring, and breathable. It’s also more supportive, durable, eco-friendly, and better for sleep health than fully synthetic alternatives.

At Haven, our mattresses are made from plant-based and vegan materials. Inexpensive foam mattresses are generally 100% synthetic, and made overseas. At the other end of the spectrum, many expensive mattress companies use fur, horse-hair, leather, wool, feathers and silk, and animal-based adhesives.

Not only that, but natural or organic mattresses sell in stores for thousands more than a Haven. Your choice to buy a cruelty-free, vegan product doesn’t mean sacrificing on convenience, comfort, quality, or support.

Plant-Based

We knew there was a better way to provide a luxurious, Canadian-made product that aligned with our environmental values. That’s why every Haven mattress is made with natural and renewable materials, like our soy-oil foams and rubber-based latex. Our top-covers are breathable and moisture-wicking as they are blended with eco-friendly and sustainable bamboo.

Antimicrobial & Hypoallergenic

Haven uses premium materials like plant-based latex because it’s a natural way to make a mattress antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal. We take this one step further by infusing the top latex layer with copper, which aids in temperature control, and also those same antimicrobial properties.

As well as this, Haven mattresses do not contain any cotton or fibre batting that can act as a nesting ground for dust mites, making them hypoallergenic. Folks that do have allergies or sensitivities to chemical fumes and smells will breathe easy, thanks to our certified zero off-gassing certification through CertiPUR-US.

Canadian Production & Fulfillment

We are proud to confirm that every Haven mattress is made by hand to order, by unionized team members, with mattress production out of Calgary AB, and Mississauga ON. To minimize delivery time, we produce in both facilities to serve our customers coast-to-coast.

Our bedding department fulfills your orders from our Kelowna BC head office. We also source North American materials for our mattresses. Even our shipping materials are locally sourced and whenever possible contain high ratios of recycled materials.

Our mattresses are made of high quality and locally sourced materials. In fact, Canadian materials and labour content makes up between 90% to 100% of a Haven mattress. The remaining percentage is reserved for our domestic foam and coil partners. These suppliers may use the free-trade flow of goods from their factories in the United States from time to time. Nevertheless, we will always put priority on keeping our supply chains short and clean.

Since we are exclusively an online company, and you cannot purchase Havens in-store, we offer 100-night trials on our mattresses.

We know it takes time to get to know your mattress, so we want you to dream on it, play on it, and sleep on it for 100 days. If we can't satisfy your comfort, we'll buy it back for what you paid.

Warranty

We use high-quality and durable materials in our Haven's. These higher-density materials will provide you with a long-lasting product capable of delivering a good night's sleep for many years. We priced Haven mattresses affordable enough to be replaced each 8 to 10 years depending on the sleeper's weight and frequency of use.

Be cautious of mattress brands offering warranties beyond 10 years. This is often a deceptive practice used to give the impression of higher quality. Generally, some fees and conditions prevent claims from being approved or worth doing at all.
